1. How often should I run scans?
- PrivacyHawk' Data Broker Removal tool automatically runs monthly scans to identify new or resurfaced privacy risks.
- For the Reduce My Digital Footprint and Unsubscribe tools, you can run manual scans at any time to ensure your data is up-to-date.
2. What data does PrivacyHawk access?
- PrivacyHawk uses the information you provide (e.g., name, age, and location) to identify where your personal data might be exposed.
- Linked email accounts (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo) are used to scan your main inboxes to locate potential vulnerabilities.

3. Can I link more than one email account for the Reduce My Digital Footprint and Unsubscribe tools?
- Yes! You can link up to three email accounts from supported providers (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo) to maximize your coverage and scans.
4. What is the difference between the Free, Premium, and Platinum plans?
- Free Plan: Limited to 10 opt-out requests per month with the Reduce My Digital Footprint Tool.
- Premium Plan: Unlimited opt-out requests for the Reduce My Digital Footprint Tool and
- Unsubscribe Tool, plus ongoing protection and automated removals for the Data Broker Removal Too.

Platinum Plan: Includes all Premium features and adds the Identity Protect Tool, offering monitoring of sensitive data, dark web alerts, and identity theft insurance.
5. What happens after I send an opt-out request?
- PrivacyHawk tracks the progress of your requests.
- Progress for each request is visible in the Processing Tab until the request is completed.
- Once completed, removed items appear in the Completed Tab.
- If any company requires extra information to move forward with your request, you will find these communications in the Actions Needed Tab.
6. Can I unsubscribe from email lists with PrivacyHawk?
- Yes, but this feature is available only for Premium and Platinum users. The Unsubscribe Tool identifies newsletters and marketing emails, allowing you to easily unsubscribe.
7. Does PrivacyHawk store my Social Security Number (SSN)?
- No, PrivacyHawk does not store your SSN. If you choose to use the Identity Protect Tool, your SSN is used solely for verification with credit bureaus and is not saved in our systems.
8. How do I know if my personal information is at risk?
- PrivacyHawk provides a Privacy Score to give you an overall view of your privacy health.
- Alerts notify you of any new risks, such as data broker exposure or breached accounts.
